Kadine is a mother of two boys, and that has shaped everything else that follows. Raising them has meant navigating life across different countries, different systems, and different definitions of what a good life looks like, and finding real beauty in that cross-cultural living rather than treating it as a complication to survive.
That beauty shows up in this series. Every place she and her sons have lived taught her something about how people handle each other's differences, and about how much richer the human experience becomes when it is allowed to stretch across diverse spaces rather than stay confined to one.
Alongside raising her sons, Kadine spends her working life helping people find their way through conflict, in employment disputes, community disagreements, and cases before the Industrial Disputes Tribunal in Kingston, Jamaica. The Justice Corner Series grew out of a simple observation from that work: the earlier young people learn what fairness, rights, and resolution actually look like, the more equipped they are to navigate the conflicts they will inevitably face.
